ways to give
Whidbey Island Center for the Arts’ board of directors and staff are mindful that, as a community resource, accessibility and affordability must remain a primary principle upon which the organization operates.
It is your generous support toward our operations that allows us to continue our work and to offer Pay What You Will performances, discounts for seniors, free admission for youth 18 and under, and maintain affordable ticket prices.
Please consider making a contribution that will sustain us in every aspect of what we do: producing, presenting, and supporting artistic endeavors, educational initiatives, and cultural events that connect artists and audiences.
Your gift will make it possible for us to continue offering high-quality and engaging programs.
Thank you so very much for supporting this cherished artistic and cultural institution.
THANK YOU!
Whidbey Island Center for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations to WICA are tax-deductible.

Donations are gratefully accepted from individuals as well as corporations. Join us as a producer of the Theatre Series season! Donations help support expenses related to producing, such as artist fees, sets, costumes, makeup, props, royalties, scripts, etc. Producers Circle donations also support the marketing efforts for each production. In addition to raising the quality of work we produce and offer throughout the season, you directly support initiatives to increase awareness and knowledge-sharing between WICA and the community.

PLANNED GIVING
Bequest
A bequest is the easiest and most meaningful way to provide for WICA's future. A bequest is a gift made through your estate. It may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of the estate, or a remainder after other distributions have been made.
Charitable Gift Annuity
In exchange for cash or assets, WICA agrees to pay a fixed sum of money to the donor for the duration of the donor's life, after which the remainder is left to WICA.
Charitable Remainder Trust
Transfer your assets into a trust, which pays income to you (or other designated beneficiaries) until the trust terminates and the remaining principal is left to benefit WICA.
Life Insurance
Life insurance provides security for a growing family and support in times of need. It can also be used to make a gift to WICA. Options include naming the Center as the beneficiary of the death benefit or transferring ownership of an existing policy to WICA.
Retirement Accounts
Naming WICA as a beneficiary of an Individual Retirement Account or other qualified retirement plan is a simple way to include the Center in your estate plans.
Please Note: Distributions from retirement accounts made to 501(c)(3) charitable organizations are generally tax free. Please consult your tax professional for advice about your situation.
HONORARY AND MEMORIAL GIFTS
Are you puzzled about what to give friends or family members who “have everything”? Consider making donations to WICA in their honor and acknowledge their special days: birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, or whatever they are celebrating.
You will receive a receipt for your donation and your friends will receive personal letters from WICA telling them that you have made these thoughtful gifts in their names. Or, if you would like to remember someone who loves the arts and WICA during his or her lifetime, you can make a gift in that person’s name. What a beautiful tribute to their memory!
The amounts of your contributions will be kept confidential, unless you request otherwise.
Many WICA supporters make contributions in the form of stocks, bonds, mutual funds or other securities. For the purpose of receiving and liquidating your gift, WICA maintains a brokerage account at a national brokerage firm, currently Morgan Stanley.
EMPLOYER MATCHING GIFTS
More than 1,000 companies and foundations in the United States currently match their employees’ gifts to nonprofit organizations such as WICA. Under a corporate matching gift program cash gifts or gifts of volunteer time from a company’s eligible employees are matched with company or corporate foundation funds. It all adds up to a great way to increase your contributions and receive more benefits, at no additional cost to you!
