Reading Edward Albee's
The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?
Led by Annie Deacon
Have you ever wanted to try acting on stage, but were too shy to audition? Come to the Play Café and explore acting in a stress-free environment.
The Play Café at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts in Langley provides a place for experienced, beginning and non-actors to gather and read a play together, without the pressure of performance. A director will be there to guide the play, so readers can also learn some performance techniques, while becoming acquainted with the ins and outs of play-reading.
The best use of an actor’s intelligence is to learn to read carefully, analytically and critically and the Play Café is a good place to start. So if you’ve always wanted to try acting, the Play Café is for you!
Join us to read, eat, drink, discuss, and contemplate.
