Ensemble Sangineto

The Ensemble Sangineto group was born in 2000, founded by the twins Adriano and Caterina Sangineto. Trained within the artistic environment of their father, Michele Sangineto, luthier of Celtic harps and arched psalteries, the twins initially approached ancient music and then approached popular music in all its facets, with a special fondness for tradition Irish, Breton and French.

The project has experienced continuous expansion and dynamism over the years, also thanks to the collaboration with other musicians. Currently the original formation is completed with the artistic contribution of the guitarist and bouzoukist Jacopo Ventura.

Ensemble Sangineto is a versatile and multifaceted formation that skilfully combines archaic sounds and harmonies with modern rhythms and arrangements that are affected by influences from different musical genres: folk, classical, Gregorian chant, musicals, pop and Celtic music. In the direction of an interpenetration of all these genres, the Ensemble's musical experimentation was born: original pieces that reflect the heterogeneity of the musicians' musical experiences alternate with pieces from the Irish, Scottish, Breton and Italian traditions.

Fascinating mixtures and eclectic interpretations characterize one of the most exciting and original emerging groups in the Italian panorama of Celtic and world music. The precious combination of harp, guitar and arched psaltery and the magical fusion of voices, the suspended and dreamy atmospheres, all in a riot of vibrations that envelop you in their intense purity.

We respect their sovereignty, their right to self-determination, and we honor their sacred spiritual connection with the land and water.

Please join us in expressing our deepest respect and gratitude to the indigenous people of this territory and for their enduring care and protection of the land in which we currently occupy and share through the Treaty of Point Elliott signed by 82 tribes in Múckl-te-óh (Mukilteo) on January 22, 1855.
