Cythara VI: History of the World through Guitar

Andre Feriante and Troy Chapman fill the evening with captivating stories and enchanting music as they perform on their personal collection of musical instruments in an informal and lighthearted style. Their performance promises to be a delightful journey through the rich tapestry of multicultural music, showcasing 30 unique instruments from 5 continents, each with its own distinct sound and history.

From the ancient strings of the Cythara, which evolved into the modern violin, viola, and guitar, to other fascinating instruments, they will explore over 5,000 years of musical history. This event is not just a concert but an immersive experience that celebrates the diversity and evolution of music across different cultures and eras. Join them for an evening that transcends time and geography, bringing together the universal language of music in a way that is both educational and entertaining.
