TRIBUTE TO THE ARGENTINE TANGO AND FOLKLORE PIANISTS
The Argentine popular music, and more specifically tango and folklore have always been among their composers wonderful pianists. Brilliantly intuitive musicians, and many of them with high academic training. Claudio Mendez remakes in this concert some of the iconic themes and lesser known of these authors as a tribute to their work and the contribution they have made to the culture of Argentina and the universal piano literature. And thus proposes a meeting with Adolfo Abalos, Horacio Salgán, Ariel Ramirez, Hector Stamponi, Carlos Guastavino, J.Carlos Cobian and Mariano Mores among others. A special form of walking through different territories of Argentina music on a journey into this great little cosmos that is the sound of the piano.
