WALKING EACH OTHER HOME | YEAR TWO

November 1st and 2nd | 7:30 PM

Back for its second year, “Walking Each Other Home” is a two-day event held at the Whidbey Island Center for the Arts on November 1st and 2nd, 2024. This dynamic showcase features a wonderful variety of shows and community conversations, focusing on the topic of aging. It explores the sorrows, humor, and learning we experience during our passage through Elderhood. The event highlights the stories of island neighbors and showcases the talents of local actors and musicians such as David Ossman, Steven Merritt, Victory Schouten, Gail Liston, Julie Pigott, and Jim Scullin. Spanning an emotional arc from comedy to heart-opening drama, with lots of really good music, this event illuminates the various issues we face as we go through our individual and collective aging processes.

HOW DO WE REALLY WALK EACH OTHER HOME | cONVERSATION CAFE

Saturday, Nov. 2nd | 9:30 AM

Join us on Saturday for a Community Conversation, How Do We Really Walk Each Other Home, led by Christina Baldwin. Participants will gather in small circles, followed by a group discussion to share the challenges and the gifts of this time of life — whatever our age. We aim to build a community of people on Whidbey who can support each other during this third act of life. The doors will open at 9:30, and guests can share a cup of coffee and peruse the resources offered by Healing Circles, South Whidbey at Home, and Island Senior Resources.
