Brew Ha Ha! & Seattle International Comedy Competition

The evening kicks-off in the Zech Hall Piano Bar with “Brew HaHa!” – an annual event where Diamond Knot Brewery releases their latest Storm Surge Winter Ale - which will feature an open mic for local comedians prior to the show.  Following will be the 37th Annual “running” of the Seattle International Comedy Competition (SICC), America’s biggest touring comedy festival.  From over 500 auditions were selected 33 of the funniest up-and-coming comedians you will ever see.  Hailing this year from the U.S., Canada, Japan, UK, Australia, Europe, and Africa, all will be vying for over $15,000 in cash prizes and their big Hollywood break. The competition spans 22 shows over 26 days in 18 venues throughout the Pacific Northwest.  Join us for this extraordinary competition during their hilarious return to Whidbey.

Whidbey Island Center for the Arts would like to begin by acknowledging that we gather on the ancestral homelands, originally known as Tscha-kole-chy (SHA-KOL-CHI) in Lushootseed (LU-SHOOT-SEED), of the Coastal Salish Peoples, on the lands of the lower Skagit, Tulalip (tuh·lay·luhp), Swinomish (SWIN-ə-mish), Snohomish (snō-hō-mish), Stillaguamish (still-uh-GWAH-mish), and Suquamish (soo-kwah-mish), who have lived in the Salish Sea basin since time immemorial and have hunted, fished, gathered, and taken care of these lands.
