Saratoga Orchestra’s Pacific Northwest Conducting Institute is quickly becoming a highly regarded orchestral conducting institute. Over the past three years, conductors from all parts of the world have participated in the six-day workshop to further hone their orchestral conducting techniques.
The Summer Festival Concert will feature PNWCI 2021 Conducting Fellows sharing the podium for the following program:
Antonín Dvořák - Serenade for Strings in E major, Op. 2
Grażyna Bacewicz - Concerto for String Orchestra (1948)
Samuel Coleridge-Taylor - 4 Novelletten for String Orchestra, Op.52
Hanna Benn - Where Springs Not Fail
Internationally acclaimed conductor, lecturer and composer, Diane Wittry, will be leading the conducting sessions along with Saratoga Orchestra’s Music Director, Dr. Anna Edwards.
