Whidbey Jazz live concert series kicks off on July 13th and 14th with a lineup of incredible island all-stars, nationally and internationally acclaimed.  The lineup consists of Danny Ward on sax; Eric Vanderbilt-Mathews on sax, keys and piano; Troy Chapman on guitar; Grant Neubauer on keys; Keegan Harshman on bass and Roy Gabelein on drums.  Gabelein is an island native, and Nashville based percussionist playing on Whidbey for the first time in almost 20 years.  This impressive variety of musicians offer a unique and special bond with this community as they delve into the rich, cultural heritage of jazz, with some flair!  There will be some guest appearances, as well, including Joanna Cary and Nancy Nolan
